Becoming A Mystery Shopper
(presented by www.paid-surveys-free.com - paid surveys)

Back in my school days, I worked for a fast food restaurant that would on occasion be expecting a “mystery shopper” to show up. We would get fair warning and have to put on our best service because we never knew if the next customer would be the mystery shopper. We had to be sure to upsell on every product and be extra courteous. The next day, we’d find out how we were rated and only managed to get low scores in minor areas.

I always wondered how a person went about becoming a mystery shopper and how much money could be made. A mystery shopper is hired by a company to help evaluate the products and customer service the company provides. They are compensated in exchange for a detailed report which helps companies provide better service.

Some of the benefits of being a mystery shopper include:

  • Eating for free at restaurants
  • Travel for free on airlines and cruiselines
  • You are reimbursed and many times get to keep what you buy
  • Complete surveys online
  • Shop locally at your favorite stores
  • No special training or experience needed

Some mystery shoppers do this as a full time job and bring in thousands a month. There is plenty of competition out there though. If you want to stand out from the rest, it’s a good idea to be as detailed as you can be in filling out your reports. Answer every question and use correct grammar. The better your report, the more likely you will get another assignment. You could also become a certified mystery shopper. Many companies seek out certified mystery shoppers and if you are looking to become one full time, certification may boost your credentials.

Becoming a mystery shopper can be fun part-time and can easily turn into a full-time career. It is definitely a fun way to bring in extra income and a nice way to work for yourself.
