Paid Surveys - More Pitfalls
(presented by www.paid-surveys-free.com - paid surveys)

We’re going to cover a few more pitfalls of taking paid surveys. Hopefully, this will keep those of you who are interested in doing this for a substantial supplement to their income from quitting their day jobs.

One of the pitfalls with taking paid surveys that people don’t realize is the frequency by which these surveys are offered. A lot of people think that they just sign up with a site and go into a members area and start taking surveys from morning until the wee hours of the evening. While there are some sites that do have a small list of initial surveys to take and add to them regularly, many sites will only send you surveys, usually to your email address, when they have one. With most companies, if you’re lucky, it’s one survey a day. Even if that one survey paid $5, which is actually a lot of money for a paid survey, that only comes out to an extra $150 a month income. Certainly this is not enough to make a significant difference to your income.

So what do you do? Well, assuming you can find a number of companies that will send you at least one survey per day, you’re going to have to sign up with those companies in order to get your income to where you want it. Let’s assume you want to make an extra $2,000 a month. Assuming each company you sign up for will pay you $150 a month for taking surveys, you’d have to sign up with 14 companies to make this money. This means you’d be taking 14 surveys a day. This brings us to our next pitfall.

Taking a survey that’s going to pay you as much as $5 is not going to come cheap as far as time is concerned. A $5 survey is going to take you anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to complete. Let’s for argument sake say that each one takes only 30 minutes. That comes out to 7 hours for the 14 surveys. That’s almost a full time job. Now, If you’re already working a full time job, where are you going to find another 7 hours out of your day to take 14 surveys? As you can see, this presents a logistical problem. It just isn’t that!
easy.
And this is assuming you can find 14 companies that offer $5 surveys every day of the week.

Another pitfall of these survey sites is that unless you read the fine print of your agreement with them, you may be in for a few surprises. One of the most common of these surprises is the junk email that you’re going to get hammered with. Most of these sites will have fine print in their agreement that says that you will agree to receive occasional “offers” from them. The trouble is, those offers become more than occasional. And if you’re a member of a large number of survey sites, your email box can turn into a virtual nightmare quicker than you can say “Bob’s your Uncle”.

If it sounds like paid surveys are not the best way to make money, they’re not. You might want to think of other ways to supplement your income.

Paid Surveys - Where To Find Them
(presented by www.paid-surveys-free.com - paid surveys)

By Michael Russell

A lot of people want to make a part time income taking paid surveys. The problem they run into is, they don’t know where to find them and they don’t know whether or not they should pay a company to find these paid surveys for them. We are going to cover both issues in this article. Hopefully, after you’re done reading, you’ll be prepared for the jungle of paid surveys.

Let’s tackle the issue of whether or not to pay a company to find survey sites for you. This really comes down to how important your time is to you. For starters, the only way you’re going to make a decent amount of money taking paid surveys is to take a lot of surveys. Unfortunately, this isn’t easy to do because most survey sites will send you at most, a survey a day and some will only send you one survey a week. So if you’re only a member of one survey site, you’re not going to make much money taking only a few surveys a month. So to compensate for this, you have to join a number of survey sites. This is where the problems begin. You may find a few without having to look too hard, but to find a significant number of survey sites without spending an enormous amount of time doing it, is going to be close to impossible. That’s where maybe paying for a service to give you a list of survey sites may not be such a bad idea. Yes, there will be those who say never to do this. But if your time is valuable to you, then this is an option.

Most of the survey services are actually located at the Clickbank Marketplace. There are a number of books that you can buy that will give you a list of paid survey sites. There are also actual services that will give you your own member’s area to log into in order to get these lists of paid survey sites.

The fact that these services exist has to make you ask how they got these lists of paid survey sites themselves. Well, the answer to that question is actually very simple. Somebody took the time to hit the search engines and find them. This may have taken days, weeks or!
even mo
nths. There is no way to tell. It depends on how many sites they actually have listed.

Well, if this information is out there and these people found it, then why can’t you? Well, the truth is, you can find it if you take the time. And if you have the time then there is no reason to have to pay these sites for these lists. All you need to do is go to any major search engine and type in “paid surveys” or even just “surveys”. You will probably get hundreds of thousands of pages of results. Simply go through each one and make a note of the URL for each site you find and go to it. See what they offer. Then you can decide if you want to pursue the opportunity. Some sites don’t pay cash for surveys and if that is true they usually state this on the site and state how payment is made, whether it be through discounts, prize drawings or whatever.

It isn’t hard to find paid survey sites. It’s just a question of what’s more important to you, your time or your money.

Paid Surveys - The Compensation
(presented by www.paid-surveys-free.com - paid surveys)

By Michael Russell

When people hear the term “paid surveys”, they immediately think that for every survey they take, they are going to get some kind of monetary payment. Well, these people are in for quite a rude awakening. The truth is, many surveys pay you in anything but money and when the survey taker finds this out, they are just fit to be tied. So you know what to expect when taking paid surveys, here’s a brief list of the types of payments that you might receive for giving your opinion.

Yes, there are some surveys that do pay cash. The cash amount usually coincides with how long the survey is expected to take. For surveys that take about 10 or 15 minutes. don’t expect to be paid more than a dollar or two and that’s even if these short surveys pay a cash award. Most short surveys don’t. To get paid cash, you usually have to take a survey that is at minimum a half hour or more. Most hour surveys may pay you as much as $10 but most will pay less than that. Also, the number of paid surveys that you’re going to get that are that long and do pay that much are very rare.

So, if paid surveys for actual cash is so rare, just what do most surveys pay you in?

One of the methods that surveys pay you is in points. For every survey you take, you get a certain number of points. For a 10 minute survey you may get 10 points. Ultimately, when you get a certain number of points you will get a monetary reward for those points, which can be in the form of money, but doesn’t have to be. Some paid surveys pay in prizes. Others pay in gift certificates. The monetary award is usually $1 for every 100 points. So you end up taking about 10 surveys to make that $1. Talk about slave labor.

Another way that paid surveys pay is in entries into drawings. In other words, for every survey you take you are entered into a drawing for some kind of prize. They usually tell you what the prize is before you take the survey. Rarely is the prize anything worth wasting your time for. Even if it was, the number!
of peop
le taking these surveys is so great that the chances of you winning one of these drawings are slim to none. And usually, the prize being given away has been donated to the survey site so there is no expense out of their pocket. In most cases, the donation comes from the company who is asking for the survey.

Another way that paid surveys pay is with discounts on certain services. For example, you might take a survey on Internet Service Providers and your payment is a 30% discount on Comcast Cable for 6 months. If it’s something that you were thinking of doing anyway, then taking the survey makes sense. But most of the discounts given are on things that nobody wants any part of. That’s why the discounts are given because the company is trying to make a few sales. Again, the discounts are provided by the company giving the survey.

If you’re getting the impression that paid surveys aren’t worth wasting your time on, you’re right. That is of course unless you’re in the market for 30% off on your Internet connection.

Multiple Streams Of Income and the Internet Fairy
(presented by www.paid-surveys-free.com - paid surveys)

Do you have multiple streams of income? The reason for this question is that I keep bumping into people who haven’t got theirs. In fact these people haven’t got “it” - the concept of multiple streams of income, I mean and they are still waiting for a visit from the Internet Money Fairy.

Why do people have such a hard time coming to terms with the idea that they won’t automatically have bundles of cash handed to them the minute after they sign up to one Internet money earning program? I think they believe there’s an Internet Money Fairy who will make tons of cash appear in their PayPal accounts just because they wish for it.

It’s a pretty straightforward concept that to get paid, you need to do some work and to get paid more, you need to work more, but when you try to explain that to people in terms of working online, they treat you with suspicion. The phrase “Multiple Streams Of Income” appears all over the Internet but people seem to skip over the phrase without pausing to think about what it can mean to them. If they thought about it, they would realise it can mean the difference between a comfortable amount of extra income and earning next to nothing.

Take the average complaint: a person says he signed up to a work at home opportunity but it turned out to be a scam. If you analyse the complaint, it will most likely turn out that the work at home program is perfectly legitimate and the person is actually just complaining that he did not earn as much as he was hoping for. If we take as an example one of the easiest and most reliable forms of earning extra income on the Internet, the paid online survey industry, it is easy to see where people go wrong.

The details of a typical complaint are that the person signed up, took a survey and got paid $25. Seems like it did just what it said on the tin, so why complain? The person is not objecting to getting paid $25 for answering a few simple questions in the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee. The real problem is that he only got invited to take one survey throughout the whole week so the $25 fee was his total income. Wanting to earn rather more than $25 a week is perfectly understandable, it’s not exactly enough to build up an early retirement fund. However, the problem is not with the program: the problem is that this person failed to appreciate that no single survey company has an endless supply of surveys fitting his demographic profile. The answer is simple: if he joins more survey companies, he will be eligible for more surveys and can earn more.

Although the solution is simple, many people don’t understand it or don’t put it into action when they are trying to make money on the Internet. This is quite strange because people working offline don’t rely on a Money Fairy, they create multiple streams of income for themselves without hesitating. People who need extra income, take on extra work. This is not a new phenomenon; as long as there have been people working, there have been people doing extra work to make more money.

What sort of people are earning multiple streams of income offline? All sorts. For example there’s the school kid who does a newspaper delivery round every morning, stacks shelves in the supermarket on Friday evening and helps clean up when the vegetable market closes on Saturday. He has three streams of regular income and has probably never heard of the advice to create “multiple streams”, he just knows he can’t earn as much cash as he wants doing only one part time job. Another example is the stay at home mother who runs a toddler club one morning a week, sells children’s books and does a couple of evening shifts as a waitress in a local restaurant. She’s probably too busy to think about fancy terms like “multiple streams”, she’s just earning extra cash to supplement the family budget and needs work that fits in with the family schedule. Then there is the lady who teaches baby sign language, organises lingerie parties and sells cosmetics from a catalogue. Just another person with more than one income source.

These are just a few of the countless examples of people earning multiple streams of income from completely different sources offline. Working two or more jobs is not at all unusual so why do people miss this point when they start trying to earn money on the Internet? Too many people just expect it to be too easy. They will do better if they stop relying on the Internet Money Fairy and realise part time work online is not so different from part time work offline. “Multiple streams of income” is not just a bit of Internet jargon, it is in fact, the basis of success for many people who are already making the money they need online.
